Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ put on a new garment, he would name it by its name, whether a shirt or a turban, then say, "O Allah, all praise belongs to You. You have clothed me with it. I ask You for the good of it and the good of what it was made for, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for."Abu Nadra said, "Whenever one of the Prophet's ﷺ companions wore a new garment, he would be told, 'May you wear it out, and may Allah the Exalted provide a replacement.'"
[Its isnad is hasan] Tirmidhi transmitted it, in the Book of Clothing, chapter on what one says when wearing a new garment, hadith no. 1767, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Mubarak, through the same chain, and he said, hasan gharib sahih.
