A delegation of the jinn came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Muhammad, forbid your community from cleaning themselves with a bone, dung, or charcoal, for Allah has placed sustenance for us in these things."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade that.
حدثنا حيوة بن شريح الحمصي حدثنا ابن عياش عن يحيى بن أبي عمرو السيباني عن عبد الله بن الديلمي
قدم وفد الجن على رسول الله ﷺ فقالوا يا محمد انه أمتك أن يستنجوا بعظم أو روثة أو حممة فإن الله تعالى جعل لنا فيها رزقا قال فنهى رسول الله ﷺ عن ذلك

[Its chain of transmission is hasan]. Bayhaqi narrated it (1/109) from the hadith of Abu Dawud through the same route, and said, "It is a Levantine chain that is not strong." Ismail bin Ayyash explicitly stated that he heard it directly from his Levantine teacher, as found in Daraqutni (1/55, 56), and his narration from Levantine narrators is accepted by the majority of scholars.
