Uthman bin Abu As reported,

Uthman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I have a pain that is nearly killing me."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Place your right hand on the painful spot and wipe it seven times, saying, 'I seek refuge in the might of Allah and His power from the evil of what I find.'"Uthman said, "I did that, and Allah removed what afflicted me. I have kept instructing my family and others to do the same ever since."

حدثنا عبد الله القعنبي عن مالك عن يزيد بن خصيفة أن عمرو بن عبد الله بن كعب السلمي أخبره أن نافع بن جبير أخبره

عن عثمان بن أبي العاص

أنه أتى النبي ﷺ قال عثمان وبي وجع قد كاد يهلكني قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ امسحه بيمينك سبع مرات وقل أعوذ بعزة الله وقدرته من شر ما أجد قال ففعلت ذلك فأذهب الله عز وجل ما كان بي فلم أزل آمر به أهلي وغيرهم
