I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Do not kill your children secretly, for ghil overtakes the horseman and throws him from his horse."
حدثنا الربيع بن نافع أبو توبة حدثنا محمد بن مهاجر عن أبيه
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا تقتلوا أولادكم سرا فإن الغيل يدرك الفارس فيدعثره عن فرسه
[Daif] Ibn Majah narrated it in the chapter on marriage, section on breastfeeding a nursing mother during pregnancy, hadith 2012, from the hadith of Muhajir, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith 1304. Muhajir was deemed reliable by Ibn Hibban alone.
