Umm Yunus reported,

My mother-in-law, Umm Jahdar al-Amiriyyah, told me that she asked Ayesha about menstrual blood that gets on a garment. Ayesha said, "I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and we had our inner garment on, with a cloak thrown over it. When morning came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took the cloak, put it on, went out, and prayed the dawn prayer. Then he sat down, and a man said, 'Messenger of Allah, there is a spot of blood on this.'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ grasped the area around it and sent it to me, bundled up in the hand of a servant boy, saying, 'Wash this, dry it, then send it back to me.'So I called for my bowl, washed it, dried it, and sent it back to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came at midday wearing it."

أم يونس بنت شداد قالت

حدثتني حماتي أم جحدر العامرية أنها سألت عائشة عن دم الحيض يصيب الثوب فقالت كنت مع رسول الله ﷺ وعلينا شعارنا وقد ألقينا فوقه كساء فلما أصبح رسول الله ﷺ أخذ الكساء فلبسه ثم خرج فصلى الغداة ثم جلس فقال رجل يا رسول الله هذه لمعة من دم فقبض رسول الله ﷺ على ما يليها فبعث بها إلي مصرورة في يد الغلام فقال اغسلي هذه وأجفيها ثم أرسلي بها إلي فدعوت بقصعتي فغسلتها ثم أجففتها فأحرتها إليه فجاء رسول الله ﷺ بنصف النهار وهي عليه
