The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade eating two dates together unless you ask permission from your companions.
حدثنا واصل بن عبد الأعلى حدثنا ابن فضيل عن أبي إسحق عن جبلة بن سحيم
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الإقران إلا أن تستأذن أصحابك
[Sahih] Ahmad narrated it, 7/2, from Muhammad bin Fudayl bin Ghazwan with this chain, and Bukhari narrated it, no. 5446, and Muslim, no. 2045, from the hadith of Jabala bin Suhaym with this chain.
