The Prophet ﷺ said, "A household without dates, its people go hungry."
حدثنا الوليد بن عتبة حدثنا مروان بن محمد حدثنا سليمان بن بلال حدثني هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
قال النبي ﷺ بيت لا تمر فيه جياع أهله
Muslim reported it in the Book of Drinks, Chapter on bringing dates and similar provisions home for one's family, no. 2046, from the hadith of Sulayman bin Bilal, with this wording.
