The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade, on the day of Khaybar, the flesh of domesticated donkeys and the jallalah, both riding it and eating its flesh.
حدثنا سهل بن بكار حدثنا وهيب عن ابن طاوس
نهى رسول الله ﷺ يوم خيبر عن لحوم الحمر الأهلية وعن الجلالة عن ركوبها وأكل لحمها
[Its chain of transmission is hasan]. Nasai narrated it in the Book of Sacrifices, Chapter on the Prohibition of Eating the Meat of Jallalah (Animals that Feed on Filth), Hadith: 4452, from the hadith of Sahl bin Bakkar, through this route.
