An Arabi prayed with the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned this story. In it, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Take the earth on which he urinated and discard it, then pour water over the spot."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا جرير يعني ابن حازم قال سمعت عبد الملك يعني ابن عمير يحدث
قال صلى أعرابي مع النبي ﷺ بهذه القصة قال فيه وقال يعني النبي ﷺ خذوا ما بال عليه من التراب فألقوه وأهريقوا على مكانه ماء

[Its chain of transmission is daif]. Daraqutni relayed it in 1/132, hadith 473, and Bayhaqi in 2/428, from the hadith of Abu Dawud, through the same chain. It is found in Marasil by Abu Dawud, hadith 3. The hadith has many corroborating narrations, all of them daif. See Talkhis Habir, 1/37, hadith 32.
