He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Some people from my nation will surely drink wine, calling it by another name."
حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل حدثنا زيد بن الحباب حدثنا معاوية بن صالح عن حاتم بن حريث عن مالك بن أبي مريم قال دخل علينا عبد الرحمن بن غنم فتذاكرنا الطلاء فقال
أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول ليشربن ناس من أمتي الخمر يسمونها بغير اسمها
[Hasan] Ibn Majah related it in the Book of Tribulations, chapter on Punishments, no. 4020, from the hadith of Muawiya bin Salih, and it is found in Musnad Ahmad, 5/342. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1384. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Ibn Majah, no. 3385, and elsewhere.
