The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Wine comes from these two trees, the date palm and the grapevine."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا أبان حدثني يحيى عن أبي كثير
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال الخمر من هاتين الشجرتين النخلة والعنبة
Muslim, Ashribah, chapter on the explanation that everything fermented and made from dates and grapes is called wine, hadith no. 1985, from the hadith of Yahya bin Abu Kathir, through this same chain.
