The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not pray on our garments, or on our blankets. Ubaydullah said, my father was uncertain which of the two words was used.
حدثنا عبيد الله بن معاذ حدثنا أبي حدثنا الأشعث عن محمد بن سيرين عن عبد الله بن شقيق
كان رسول الله ﷺ لا يصل في شعرنا أو في لحفنا قال عبيد الله شك أبي
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Recorded by Tirmidhi, Jumuah, chapter on the dislike of praying in women's wraps, no. 600, and Nasai, no. 5368, from the hadith of Ashath, with this wording. Tirmidhi said, hasan sahih, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, 1/252, and Dhahabi agreed with him. It will come again at no. 645.
