The Prophet ﷺ said to him, meaning Ibn Suriya, "I remind you by Allah who saved you from Pharaoh's people, who parted the sea for you, who shaded you with clouds, who sent down for you manna and quails, and who revealed the Torah to Musa. Do you find stoning in your scripture?"He replied, "You have reminded me of something great, and it is not possible for me to lie to you."And he continued the hadith.
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى حدثنا عبد الأعلى حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة

[Its isnad is daif] Abu Dawud narrated it alone. Both Saeed and Qatada were known to conceal parts of their sources, and both narrated using ambiguous wording ("from so-and-so") without clarifying direct hearing, and the chain is disconnected.
