Two men brought a dispute to the Prophet ﷺ over a camel, or a riding animal, with neither of them having any evidence to support his claim, so the Prophet ﷺ divided it between them.
حدثنا محمد بن المنهال الضرير حدثنا يزيد بن زريع حدثنا ابن أبي عروبة عن قتادة عن سعيد بن أبي بردة عن أبيه
أن رجلين ادعيا بعيرا أو دابة إلى النبي ﷺ ليست لواحد منهما بينة فجعله النبي ﷺ بينهما
[Hasan] Narrated by Nasai, Chapters on the Manners of Judges, Chapter on Judgment for One Who Has No Evidence, Hadith 5426, and Ibn Majah, Hadith 2330, from the hadith of Saeed bin Abu Aruba, through this same route.
