The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The right of preemption applies to every shared property, whether a dwelling or a walled garden. It is not lawful for a partner to sell his share until he notifies his co-owner. If he sells without notifying him, the co-owner has the greater right to it until he is properly informed."

قال رسول الله ﷺ الشفعة في كل شرك ربعة أو حائط لا يصلح أن يبيع حتى يؤذن شريكه فإن باع فهو أحق به حتى يؤذنه
