I asked Makhul about this statement, "He washed and bathed."He replied, "He washed his head and washed his body."

سألت مكحولا عن هذا القول غسل واغتسل فقال غسل رأسه وغسل جسده
[Its isnad is sahih] Bayhaqi narrated it in Shuab al-Iman, no. 2989, from the hadith of Abu Dawud.
