Abu Dawud 3478

[Its chain of transmission is sahih]. Reported by Tirmidhi, in the chapter on business transactions, in the section on what has been said about selling surplus water, hadith no. 1271, from the hadith of Dawud bin Abdul-Rahman, with this wording, and he said, hasan sahih. It was also narrated by Nasai, hadith no. 4666, and Ibn Majah, hadith no. 2476. Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, hadith no. 594, as did Hakim, according to the standard of Muslim, 2/44, 61, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
