My sister vowed to walk to the House of Allah and asked me to seek a ruling for her from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So I sought the ruling from the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "Let her walk and let her ride."
حدثنا مخلد بن خالد حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني سعيد بن أبي أيوب أن يزيد بن أبي حبيب أخبره أن أبا الخير حدثه
نذرت أختي أن تمشي إلى بيت الله فأمرتني أن أستفتي لها رسول الله ﷺ فاستفتيت النبي ﷺ فقال لتمش ولتركب
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Vows, in the chapter "One Who Vows to Walk to the Kaaba," hadith no. 1644, from the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Recompense for Hunting, in the chapter "One Who Vows to Walk to the Kaaba," hadith no. 1866, from the hadith of Ibn Jurayj, through the same chain.
