A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, my sister has vowed to perform Hajj on foot."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Allah gains nothing from your sister's hardship. Let her perform Hajj while riding, and let her offer expiation for her oath."
حدثنا حجاج بن أبي يعقوب حدثنا أبو النضر حدثنا شريك عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن مولى آل طلحة عن كريب
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إن أختي نذرت يعني أن تحج ماشية فقال النبي ﷺ إن الله لا يصنع بشقاء أختك شيئا فلتحج راكبة ولتكفر عن يمينها
Its takhrij, hasan. Ahmad narrated it in 1/310 from the hadith of Sharik the judge, with this wording, and he explicitly stated that he heard it, as reported by Hakim in 4/302. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 3046, and Hakim said it meets the standard of Muslim.
