I saw the Prophet ﷺ place a date on a piece of bread and say, "This is the seasoning for this."
حدثنا محمد بن عيسى حدثنا يحيى بن العلاء عن محمد بن يحيى بن حبان
رأيت النبي ﷺ وضع تمرة على كسرة فقال هذه إدام هذه
[Daif] Abu Yaala narrated it in his Musnad, no. 7494, from the hadith of Yahya bin Ala, who was a liar who fabricated hadith, as Ahmad said, and his hadith has a daif corroborating witness, see the hadith that follows.
