The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard me, and the report continues with similar wording up to "by your fathers." It adds that Umar said, "By Allah, I never swore by it after that, neither speaking of my own accord nor quoting another."
حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن سالم عن أبيه
سمعني رسول الله ﷺ نحو معناه إلى بآبائكم زاد قال عمر فوالله ما حلفت بهذا ذاكرا ولا آثرا
Muslim narrated it, see the previous hadith, from the hadith of Abdul-Razzaq through this same chain, and it is found in Musannaf, no. 15922. Bukhari also narrated it in the Book of Oaths and Vows, chapter "Do Not Swear by Your Fathers," no. 6647, as a suspended narration, from the hadith of Maamar through this same chain.
