The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah destroy the Jews, for they took the graves of their prophets as places of worship."
حدثنا القعنبي عن مالك عن ابن شهاب عن سعيد بن المسيب
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال قاتل الله اليهود اتخذوا قبور أنبيائهم مساجد
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Prayer, in the chapter after the chapter on prayer in the church, hadith no. 437, from Abdullah bin Maslama Qanabi, and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Masjids, in the chapter on the prohibition of building a masjid over graves... to the end, hadith no. 530, both from the hadith of Malik through this chain, and it is found in the Muwatta (the narration of Ibn Abdul-Barr / Tamhid) 6/383.
