[Sahih] Reported by Tirmidhi, Funerals, chapter on walking in front of the funeral procession, no. 1007, 1008, Ibn Majah, no. 1482, and Nasai, no. 1946, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna through this route, who explicitly stated that he heard it directly. Mansur, Bakr bin Waail, and others corroborated him. Tirmidhi noted a flaw in the hadith, and Nasai said, "This is a mistake, and the correct view is that it is mursal." The correct view is that it is also connected, since Zuhri explicitly stated that he heard it directly. Praise be to Allah.
