A man from the tribe of Banu Taghlib said, "I came to the Prophet ﷺ and accepted Islam. He taught me Islam and instructed me how to collect the charity from those of my people who had embraced Islam. Then I returned to him and said, 'Messenger of Allah, I have memorized everything you taught me except the matter of the charity. Shall I take a tenth from them?'He replied, 'No. The tenth is taken only from the Christians and the Jews.'"
