The people of Najran were expelled, but the people of Tayma were not expelled, because Tayma is not part of the lands of the Arabs. As for the Valley, I hold that the Jews living there were not expelled because the authorities did not consider it part of the land of the Arabs.Ibn Sarh narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, he said, Malik said, Umar, may Allah have mercy on him, expelled the Jews of Najran and Fadak.
قال أبو داود قرئ على الحارث بن مسكين وأنا شاهد أخبرك أشهب بن عبد العزيز قال
أجلى أهل نجران ولم يجلوا من تيماء لأنها ليست من بلاد العرب فأما الوادي فإني أرى أنما لم يجل من فيها من اليهود أنهم لم يروها من أرض العرب حدثنا ابن السرح حدثنا ابن وهب قال قال مالك وقد أجلى عمر رحمه الله يهود نجران وفدك
