The Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided Khaybar into two halves, one half set aside for his unforeseen needs and requirements, and the other half divided among the Muslims. He apportioned that half among them into eighteen shares.

قسم رسول الله ﷺ خيبر نصفين نصفا لنوائبه وحاجته ونصفا بين المسلمين قسمها بينهم على ثمانية عشر سهما
