I set out with two men to the Prophet ﷺ. One of them gave the testimony of faith and then said, "We have come so that you may employ us in your work." The other said the same as his companion.The Prophet ﷺ replied, "The most treacherous of you in our view is the one who seeks such a position."Abu Musa apologized to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I did not know what they had come for." The Prophet ﷺ did not employ them in anything until he died.

[Its chain is daif]. Nasai recorded it in al-Kubra, no. 5931, from the hadith of Ismail bin Abu Khalid, and he is a mudallis who narrated using an ambiguous form of transmission, and I did not find an explicit statement that he heard it from his brother Saeed. See also no. 4354.
