Umm Habibah experienced prolonged abnormal bleeding for seven years. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed her to perform the ritual bath, and she would bathe before every prayer.
حدثنا محمد بن إسحق المسيبي حدثني أبي عن ابن أبي ذئب عن ابن شهاب عن عروة وعمرة بنت عبد الرحمن
أن أم حبيبة استحيضت سبع سنين فأمرها رسول الله ﷺ أن تغتسل فكانت تغتسل لكل صلاة
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Menstruation, Chapter on the Blood of Prolonged Bleeding, no. 327, from the hadith of Ibn Abu Dhib, and Muslim in the Book of Menstruation, Chapter on the Woman with Prolonged Bleeding and Her Ablution and Prayer, no. 334, from the hadith of Ibn Shihab, through the same chain, with slight variation.
