The Prophet ﷺ said, "A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever, nor does a disbeliever inherit from a Muslim."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن علي بن حسين عن عمرو بن عثمان
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا يرث المسلم الكافر ولا الكافر المسلم
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Inheritance, chapter "A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever, nor does a disbeliever inherit from a Muslim," hadith no. 1614, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Military Expeditions, chapter "Where did the Prophet ﷺ plant the banner on the day of the conquest?" hadith nos. 4282 and 4283, from the hadith of Zuhri, with the same chain.
