The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade urinating into a hole.The people asked Qatada, "What is disliked about urinating into a hole?"He replied, "It used to be said that they are the dwellings of the jinn."
حدثنا عبيد الله بن عمر بن ميسرة حدثنا معاذ بن هشام حدثني أبي عن قتادة
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى أن يبال في الجحر قالوا لقتادة ما يكره من البول في الجحر قال كان يقال إنها مساكن الجن
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Nasai narrated it in the chapter on Purification, section on the dislike of urinating in a hole, hadith no. 34, from the hadith of Muaz bin Hisham with this wording. Hakim graded it sahih (1/186), saying it meets the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Qatada is a mudallis and narrated it using "an" (indicating possible concealment in the chain).
