The Prophet ﷺ assigned one-sixth to the grandmother when there is no mother below her.
حدثنا محمد بن عبد العزيز بن أبي رزمة أخبرني أبي حدثنا عبيد الله أبو المنيب العتكي
أن النبي ﷺ جعل للجدة السدس إذا لم يكن دونها أم
Its isnad is hasan. Nasai transmitted it in Al-Kubra, no. 6338, from the hadith of Abu Munib as such, and Ibn Jarud graded it sahih, no. 960.
