Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

He informed him that his father had died leaving a debt of thirty wasqs owed to a Jewish man. Jabir asked the man for an extension, but he refused. So Jabir spoke to the Prophet ﷺ asking him to intercede with the man on his behalf. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and spoke to the Jewish man, asking him to accept the fruit of his palm trees in settlement of the debt, but the man refused. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then asked him to grant an extension, but he still refused. And he continued with the rest of the hadith.
