Abdul-Hameed bin Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Umar bin al-Khattab transcribed this for me.In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is what Abdullah Umar decreed concerning Thamgh. He recounted the story along the lines of Nafi's report, saying, "Without accumulating wealth from it. Whatever surplus comes from its produce shall go to the beggar and the destitute."He then continued the account, adding, "If the custodian of Thamgh wishes, he may purchase slaves from its produce to work in it." Muqayqib wrote it down, and Abdullah bin Arqam witnessed it.In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is what Abdullah Umar, Commander of the Faithful, bequeathed should anything befall him. Thamgh, Sirmah bin al-Akwa, the slave it contains, the hundred shares at Khaybar, the slaves there, and the hundred portions which Muhammad ﷺ granted him in the Valley shall be administered by Hafsah for as long as she lives. After her, it shall be administered by the most discerning member of her family. It is not to be sold or bought. Its proceeds are to be spent as the custodian sees fit on the beggar, the destitute, and close relatives. There is no blame on whoever administers it if he eats from it, feeds others, or purchases slaves from its yield.

Hasan, though its chain is daif because Abdul-Hameed did not meet his grandfather Umar (Tuhfat Ashraf 8/80). However, it is a wijadah, and the hadith has corroborating narrations, one of which is the preceding hadith.
