Bakkar bin Abdul-Aziz reported, my father Abdul-Aziz informed me, from Abu Bakra, from the Prophet ﷺ, that whenever something joyful came to him or he received good news, he would fall down in prostration out of gratitude to Allah.

[Its chain is hasan]. Tirmidhi transmitted it in Al-Siyar, the chapter on what has been said about the sajdah of gratitude, no. 1578, and Ibn Majah, no. 1394, from the hadith of Abu Asim, with this wording, and Tirmidhi said, hasan gharib.
