The Prophet ﷺ set the ransom for the people of Jahiliyyah on the day of Badr at four hundred.

[The isnad is hasan] Reported by Nasai in Kubra, no. 8661, from the hadith of Abdul-Rahman bin Mubarak, through this route. Hakim graded it sahih, 3/140, and Dhahabi agreed with him.Abu Anbas, his hadith does not fall below the rank of hasan.
