One of his clansmen reported that the Prophet ﷺ dispatched a military expedition, and he equipped one of the men with a sword. When the man returned, he said, "If only you had seen how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reproached us. He said, 'Were you so incapable that, when I sent one of you and he failed to carry out my order, you could not appoint in his place someone who would carry out my order?'"
