The Prophet ﷺ held a race between horses and gave the mature horses an advantage at the finish line.
حدثنا أحمد بن حنبل حدثنا عقبة بن خالد عن عبيد الله عن نافع
أن النبي ﷺ سبق بين الخيل وفضل القرح في الغاية
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Ibn Abdul-Barr narrated it in Tamhid: 14/84 from the hadith of Abu Dawud through this route, and it is found in Musnad Ahmad: 2/157, and Ibn Mulaqqin graded it sahih in Tuhfat al-Muhtaj, h: 1737
