The Prophet ﷺ was asked which of the believers has the most complete faith.He replied, "A man who strives in the path of Allah with his own self and his wealth, and a man who worships Allah in a mountain pass, having spared people from his harm."
حدثنا أبو الوليد الطيالسي حدثنا سليمان بن كثير حدثنا الزهري عن عطاء بن يزيد
عن النبي ﷺ أنه سئل أي المؤمنين أكمل إيمانا قال رجل يجاهد في سبيل الله بنفسه وماله ورجل يعبد الله في شعب من الشعاب قد كفي الناس شره
Bukhari narrated it in "Jihad and Expeditions," chapter "The Best of People is a Believer Who Strives with His Life and Wealth in the Path of Allah," hadith no. 2786, and Muslim narrated it in "Leadership," chapter "The Merit of Jihad and Frontier Guard Duty," hadith no. 1888, from the hadith of Zuhri, with this same chain.
