Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in spiritual retreat, he would lean his head close to me so I could comb his hair, and he would not enter the house except for human necessity.
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة عن مالك عن ابن شهاب عن عروة بن الزبير عن عمرة بنت عبد الرحمن
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا اعتكف يدني إلي رأسه فأرجله وكان لا يدخل البيت إلا لحاجة الإنسان
Bukhari narrated it in Muslim, Menstruation, chapter on the permissibility of a menstruating woman washing her husband's head and combing his hair and the purity of... etc, hadith no. 297, from the hadith of Malik through this same chain, and it is found in the Muwatta (narrated by Yahya) 1/312, and (narrated by Qanabi, arrangement of its chapters, p. 231).
