Makhul reported that an elder from the tribe — Uthman in his version said "a trustworthy one" — informed him that Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, told him that the Prophet ﷺ said, "The one who performs cupping and the one for whom it is performed have both broken their fast."
