The Prophet ﷺ said, "The religion will remain prevailing as long as people hasten to break the fast, because the Jews and Christians delay it."
حدثنا وهب بن بقية عن خالد عن محمد يعني ابن عمرو عن أبي سلمة
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا يزال الدين ظاهرا ما عجل الناس الفطر لأن اليهود والنصارى يؤخرون
[Its chain of transmission is hasan] Ibn Majah reported it in the Book of Fasting, chapter on hastening to break the fast, hadith no. 1698, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr Laythi, with this wording. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith no. 2060, as did Ibn Hibban, hadith no. 889, and Hakim, on the criterion of Muslim, 1/431, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
