When he stood in his place of prayer and we were waiting for him to say the takbir, he turned away and said, "Stay as you are."Abu Dawud said, Ayub, Ibn Awn, and Hisham narrated it from Muhammad in mursal form from the Prophet ﷺ, saying that he gave the takbir, then gestured with his hand to the people to sit, and went off and performed ghusl. Malik likewise narrated it from Ismail bin Abu Hakeem, from Ata bin Yasar, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave the takbir in a prayer.
حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أخبرنا حماد بن سلمة بإسناده ومعناه وقال في أوله فكبر وقال في آخره فلما قضى الصلاة قال إنما أنا بشر وإني كنت جنبا قال أبو داود رواه الزهري عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن
فلما قام في مصلاه وانتظرنا أن يكبر انصرف ثم قال كما أنتم قال أبو داود ورواه أيوب وابن عون وهشام عن محمد مرسلا عن النبي ﷺ قال فكبر ثم أومأ بيده إلى القوم أن اجلسوا فذهب فاغتسل وكذلك رواه مالك عن إسمعيل بن أبي حكيم عن عطاء بن يسار أن رسول الله ﷺ كبر في صلاة
