Saad bin Abu Waqqas and Abd bin Zama brought a dispute before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ concerning the son of Zama's slave-girl.Saad said, "My brother Utbah instructed me that when I arrived in Mecca, I should look for the son of Zama's slave-girl and take him into my custody, for he is his son."Abd bin Zama said, "He is my brother, the son of my father's slave-girl, born on my father's bed."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ noticed a clear resemblance to Utbah, but he said, "The child belongs to the bed, and the adulterer gets the stone. Sawda, veil yourself from him."Musaddad added in his version, "He said, 'He is your brother, Abd.'"
