A man invoked the curse of mutual condemnation against his wife during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and denied paternity of her child. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ separated the two of them and attached the child to the mother.
حدثنا القعنبي عن مالك عن نافع
أن رجلا لاعن امرأته في زمان رسول الله ﷺ وانتفى من ولدها ففرق رسول الله ﷺ بينهما وألحق الولد بالمرأة
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Divorce, chapter on the child being attributed to the woman who was subjected to lian, no. 5315, and Muslim in the Book of Lian, no. 1494, from the hadith of Malik through this same chain, and it is in Muwatta (Yahya), 2/567.
