Rafi accepted Islam, but his wife refused to accept it. She came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My daughter, who is just weaned," or something similar.Rafi said, "My daughter."The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Sit on one side," and said to her, "Sit on the other side." Then he placed the little girl between them and said, "Call her."The girl leaned toward her mother. The Prophet ﷺ then said, "O Allah, guide her." The girl then leaned toward her father, and he took her.
[Hasan]. Ahmad narrated it: 5/446, from the hadith of Isa, and Nasai in Kubra, no. 6385, from the hadith of Abdul-Hameed bin Jafar, with the same wording. Hakim graded it sahih: 2/206, 207, and Dhahabi agreed with him. See also Sunan Ibn Majah, no. 2352, with my verification.
