The Prophet ﷺ said regarding a man who has intercourse with his wife while she is menstruating, "He should give a Dinar or half a Dinar in charity."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا يحيى عن شعبة وغيره عن سعيد حدثني الحكم عن عبد الحميد بن عبد الرحمن عن مقسم
عن النبي ﷺ في الذي يأتي امرأته وهي حائض قال يتصدق بدينار أو بنصف دينار
Sourcing, sahih. Previously mentioned, no. 264. Ibn Majah also narrated it in the book on purification and its rulings, in the chapter on the expiation for one who has intercourse with his menstruating wife, no. 640. Nasai narrated it as no. 290, from the hadith of Yahya Qattan, with similar wording. Tirmidhi also narrated it, no. 136 and 137.
