With this hadith, he said, "until he ensures she is not pregnant by waiting for one menstrual cycle." He added the phrase "by one menstrual cycle," which is a mistake on the part of Abu Muawiya, though it is correctly preserved in the hadith of Abu Saeed.He also added, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day must not ride a mount belonging to the spoils of the Muslims and then return it to the spoils only after he has worn it out. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day must not wear a garment from the spoils of the Muslims and then return it to the spoils only after he has worn it threadbare."

ق بهذا الحديث قال حتى يستبرئها بحيضة زاد فيه بحيضة وهو وهم من أبي معاوية وهو صحيح في حديث أبي سعيد زاد ومن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فلا يركب دابة من فيء المسلمين حتى إذا أعجفها ردها فيه ومن كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر فلا يلبس ثوبا من فيء المسلمين حتى إذا أخلقه رده فيه
