[Hasan]. Ibn Majah reported it in the Book of Marriage, Chapter on Beating Women, hadith 1986, from the narration of Abdul-Rahman bin Mahdi, with this chain. Hakim graded it sahih in 4/175, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
