The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to divide his time among his wives equitably and would say, "O Allah, this is my division regarding what I control, so do not blame me for what You control and I do not."
حدثنا موسى بن إسمعيل حدثنا حماد عن أيوب عن أبي قلابة عن عبد الله بن يزيد الخطمي
كان رسول الله ﷺ يقسم فيعدل ويقول اللهم هذا قسمي فيما أملك فلا تلمني فيما تملك ولا أملك
Its isnad is sahih. Tirmidhi related it in the Book of Marriage, chapter on being fair between co-wives, with this chain, and Salama graded it sahih, no. 1140. Ibn Majah also related it, no. 1971, and Nasai, no. 3395, from the hadith of Hammad bin Al-Hakam, meeting the criteria of Muslim, 2/187, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Abu Qilaba is cleared of tadlis, and the rest of the chain is sahih.
