The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A woman is not to be married alongside her paternal aunt, nor a paternal aunt alongside her brother's daughter, nor a woman alongside her maternal aunt, nor a maternal aunt alongside her sister's daughter. The elder is not to be married alongside the younger, nor the younger alongside the elder."
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد النفيلي حدثنا زهير حدثنا داود بن أبي هند عن عامر
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تنكح المرأة على عمتها ولا العمة على بنت أخيها ولا المرأة على خالتها ولا الخالة على بنت أختها ولا تنكح الكبرى على الصغرى ولا الصغرى على الكبرى
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Tirmidhi narrated it in the Book of Marriage, Chapter: What Has Been Said About Not Marrying a Woman Together with Her Paternal Aunt or Her Maternal Aunt, hadith no. 1126, and Nasai, hadith no. 3298, from the hadith of Dawud bin Abu Hind, with this chain. Bukhari mentioned it as a suspended narration in the Book of Marriage, Chapter: A Woman Should Not Be Married Together with Her Paternal Aunt, hadith no. 5108. Tirmidhi said, "Hasan sahih."
